Rick and his wife, Sheridan, bought an abandoned urban farmhouse on a long-neglected property and spent the next forty years removing hundreds of volunteer trees and every weed known to man, creating beds, and installing ornamental and vegetable gardens that have grown and matured over the years.

Sheridan died several years ago, but Rick, a Master Gardener, continues to grow, nurture, and maintain all the plantings in Kelian's Garden. He is also an author, musician, and an award-winning advertising photographer who has documented the evolution of this wonderland by creating stunning images of his plants as they bloom throughout the growing seasons.
