Make America white again

While the media and normal citizens are concerned with the cuts to Medicaid, Medicare, and the elimination of hundreds of necessary and needed services and protections provided by the federal government that are being demolished and discarded in Trump’s Big Ugly Abomination of a Bill, other sections are even more terrifying.

 

Consider the $175 billion being allocated for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE). Yes! 175 BILLION DOLLARS! That’s more than the entire yearly budget for all the state services provided by the governments of Florida and Georgia! That’s more than the 27 countries in the European Union spend on their police forces combined!

 

Think about how enormous that amount actually is! Think about how much money is being poured into the U.S. Government’s campaign to MAKE AMERICA WHITE AGAIN by creating a massive secret police force, answerable only to Trump, to arrest, confine, deport, or kill brown people until the population becomes WHITE. That’s the point.

 

White nationalism was a foundational principle in the fascist Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 action plan to transform our country into a land controlled by the wealthiest few white men, where women and minorities have no rights or protections, and serve and survive at the pleasure of their white overlords.

 

Donald Trump left no doubt in thousands of hateful, disgusting speeches that he is and always has been a blatant racist dedicated to eliminating all people of color by whatever means necessary. Now he has the power to direct the resources of the U.S. Government to fulfill his hate, and his administration is moving at warp speed to grant and fulfill his darkest and most brutal passions.

 

His closest advisor and the architect of the president’s policies and political agenda is vicious little bigot Steven Miller, who along with Heinrich Himmler worshiper Tom Homan (current “Border Czar” and commander of the ICE thugs who are hunting and terrifying anyone who isn’t white or doesn’t support Trump), came up with and implemented the 2017 policy to snatch thousands of babies out of the arms of migrant mothers with no intention of reuniting them. (Almost a decade later, 1360 children have yet to be returned to their parents because ICE agents kept no records.)

 

Despite federal courts forcing the return of most of those children and the four years that lapsed after Trump was defeated in 2022, these three tormenters and their rich white sponsors have graduated to state-sponsored racial cleansing. 

 

While their campaign is expanding at a terrifying rate, the public is being bombarded with false claims that the thousands of people being rounded up are murderers, rapists, and enemies of the state and are somehow diminishing the lives and economic futures of white citizens. The reality is that a vast majority of the people being arrested have no criminal record, have no charges against them, and are guilty only of chasing the American dream with hard work and determination.

 

The unwarranted cruelty and brutality that we’ve all seen on news reports provide ample evidence that the inhumane conditions in the private detention facilities where the detainees are being held, are depriving them of adequate food, clothing, beds, toilets, or access to their medications or medical treatment, let alone legal representation or due process. 

 

Detainees await their turn to board illegal flights taking thousands of prisoners to deplorable prisons in third-world countries like El Salvador, Libya, and Southern Sudan every day, where they will remain until they die for the sin of wanting to be Americans. That reality should make all of us ashamed for electing monsters capable of conceiving, let alone implementing this nightmare.

 

America has devolved into a fledgling reincarnation of Nazi Germany’s frenzy to eliminate the Jews by detaining and carting them away to concentration camps in cattle cars. We have yet to graduate to installing lethal gas chambers, but building massive prisons is part of the $45 billion budget for detention facilities, so there is ample opportunity to institutionalize mass murder.

 

The Germans concocted the term “Final Solution” as code to mask the slaughter of millions of Jews, other minorities, and members of the opposition. What term will Trump’s administration use to mask the horrors they are inflicting on prisoners already in custody and the millions they are proposing to arrest, torture, and deport each year?

 

And who will they save their most violent, sadistic treatment for…you? Me? Our neighbors and friends, the black couple down the street, or the Hispanic guy at the taco stand? Or maybe they’ll save the worst for Democrats legally elected to office and Republicans who oppose Trump’s fascism?

 

And, please, don’t whine about the comparison to Nazi Germany. We have masked thugs riding around in armored vehicles with automatic weapons, patrolling the streets in California and making sweeps through public parks filled with kids attending day camp to arrest anyone with brown skin. Don’t be surprised when they show up in your neighborhood.

 

With $30 billion earmarked for “enforcement and deportation” in the Republican budget, who do you think will be hired first…college-educated professionals or the 1500 rioters Trump pardoned on his first day in office and the thousands of members of the underground right-wing militias who have been preparing to start the next civil war?

 

This is the new reality. This is what Republicans voted for. Our fascist government is being controlled by individuals as evil and demented as any in Hitler’s administration…and they’re just getting started.

 

We are only six months into Trump’s reign of terror, and America can not and must not stand by while they tear down everything that we are and everything that we stand for. A compliant Congress and a sympathetic radical anti-democratic judiciary are not going to stop or even slow our descent into institutional barbarism and genocide.

 

Left with no other choice, it is up to We The People to make a stand. The “No Kings” demonstrations were impressive but totally inadequate. We need real Americans to fill the streets of every city in the country every day. We need to form gigantic immovable human barriers to prevent the American Gestapo agents from intimidating or detaining anyone anywhere ever again. We need to shut down traffic, movement, government, and commerce until everyone in this administration is removed from office and brought to justice for crimes against humanity.

 

Nothing less will end our national nightmare. It is up to you, and me, and everyone we know to understand that this is the last opportunity we will have to defend our democracy before the forces of evil invade every city and town, restrict our rights and freedoms, and destroy the very concept of our democracy. It is also the day to begin the reconstruction of a future for all of us. Who do you want us to be, and what are you willing to do to make that happen?
