Real Power...
“Real power is the ability to engender fear” – Donald Trump
By Rick Stiller
Far too many voters ignored the abundant horrors in the Heritage Foundation’s openly published and widely publicized dystopian manifesto, Project 2025, Mandate for Leadership: The Conservative Promise, which contains more than 900 pages of detailed plans for dismantling the government, rescinding rights and benefits we all rely on, seeking retribution against their enemies, and ending democracy. Many of the devastating, monocratic entries were written by former officials in Trump’s first administration who intend to fulfill their ambitions for complete demolition of the “deep state” in their jobs in his next.
Donald Trump spent the last four years telling audiences exactly how he was going to transform our government into an autocracy and force society to bow to his dark, twisted ambition to become the first American emperor.
Joseph Goebbels and Adolf Hitler coined the mantra that “If you repeat the big lie often enough, it becomes truth.” Trump and his MAGA sycophants have amplified that concept to flood the media with hateful noise 24/7, to the point that an exhausted populace cannot discern the difference between truth based on vetted or verifiable facts and blatantly false fabrications.
His endless violent and misleading rhetoric is a blizzard of unhinged verbal chaos designed and delivered to overwhelm the media with so many lies and accusations that it is impossible to isolate truth from falsehood, leaving no room for timely rebuttal or counter-narratives before the next wave of outrageous deceptions floods our consciousness. The volume and repetition of lies bludgeons the citizenry into acceptance and blind submission, which is just another step in our forced march to dictatorship.
Since his election, he has blanketed the media with so many nominations, proposals, threats, and accusations that no one can focus on the big picture…the overriding plan to install a clown car full of loyal surrogates who have no qualifications, expertise, or moral values to meet the minimum criteria for positions of power. Their only qualifications are loyalty to Trump and a commitment to act on his biased and violent directives.
His arrogance and insatiable appetite for revenge against any who oppose him are plainly evident in his choices for key appointments for government positions. It appears that a few of his despicable nominees might be rebuffed and rejected, but a rouges gallery of equally disgusting and unqualified candidates will be approved by cowed and terrified Republican Senators who lack the spine to fulfill their oath. (Matt Gaetz - who is accused of trafficking and raping teenage girls, is only one example of many of his disgraceful sycophants who should be disqualified for their repugnant résumés.)
The Senate is tasked with vetting and approving presidential nominees for Cabinet Secretaries and directors of the most consequential agencies. According to our laws, the only time that a president is allowed to place nominees in office without Senate hearings and approval is when that legislative body is in recess for more than ten days. A law that was intended to be used rarely and only in emergencies when communications traveled by pony express.
According to Article I of the Constitution, Congress is supposed to provide checks and balances to the executive branch, but Trump has demanded that once the new Senate is in session, it will immediately place itself in recess so he can fill his Cabinet and agencies with his choices without any investigation, approval, or oversight. There is reason to believe that they will bow to their mighty leader and go off on vacation while he fills government posts with cranks.
Trump was elected two weeks ago, but his chaotic sewage already consumes the nation, and we know that it will only get worse over the next four years. Tune out the ruckus, find truth in real facts, stand up, and speak out!
Faced with similar challenges, the characters in my Redemption Series formed a national crusade they called the All People Matter movement because it represented everyone. We need a real All People Matter movement and we need it now!
